New Feature Launch: Long Distance Match Filter

Are you ready for a new match filter? One of our most requested feature adds from our community has been a long distance feature so members can more easily filter in (or out) other childfree singles who are interested in long distance relationships. Well, we’re thrilled to announce that this new filter is live, and it’s already taken off in terms of usage! So how does it work?

Once you log in to CFdating, just head over to your matches page and then you’ll see this brand new filter. By default, we’ve turned it off, so your initial matches returned do not include people who have only selected yes or no, but if you want to filter your matches so that you only see those that are interested in long distance relationships – of the opposite – simply select the appropriate value (yes or no), and then tap the green “filter” button. Pretty easy, right?

We’ve also added this “are you open to long distance” property to all match profiles, and you can find it right at the top of the profile page. If someone has answered either yes or no you’ll see their answer at the top of the profile, and if they still have yet to answer that new survey question then you won’t see a reference to the long distance question. Of course, if you have yet to answer this brand new questions, simply head to the “edit profile” page once you’re logged in, and you can one-click or one-tap your answer in and you’re all set.

Oh, but there’s more! We’ve also recently added an “occupation” property to every profile page if the member has provided an answer to what their current job title is. We’re also exploring adding this to match cards as a number of childfree members have requested this, so more to follow there.

We have a TON of new feature requests under development and in review, so we have lots more launches to come this year and beyond.
