Get to know martini:

Below is martini's handwritten answer to the, "Tell us a little bit about you", survey question.

I'm a social introvert who's into writing stories, gaming, and magic. I love movies and TV (especially comedies), but can really get down with some more nuanced character pieces (think Fleabag). Some of my favorite things in the world: Nintendo, LOTR, standup comedy, the French language, piano, psychology, spicy ethnic food, and hiking. Recently took on salsa dancing to get out of my comfort zone and it's pretty fun. Open to new experiences and learning about new cultures, trying new experiences, and constant change.

Why martini choose to be childfree:

Perhaps the most important question to CFdating's profile survey, below is martini's answer to why they choose to be childfree.

For some people, they see an infant and go, "Oh my God! How cute! Can I hold him/her?" I see the same baby, and go, "Oh, no! Why weren't you using condoms and/or birth control!? You're gonna have to take care of that thing forever!" I don't actually tell parents that, exactly. But the thought does cross my mind. They may have the best intentions in the world, but I also can't help but feel they're being kinda selfish. It's not like the world needed more people. The planet's already on the verge of a climate disaster. With income and wealth inequality at its highest levels in history. And they decided to bring an extra life to the world for what reason? To take care of another human that kinda looks like them? I hate to judge. Because the same excitement those people feel about having kids, I feel about saving a puppy from the pound. Dogs are huge responsibilities too, but whenever I see a dog on the street, I go, "Oh my God! How cute! Can I hold him/her?" I guess that just means I'm destined be a dog dad someday. And I'm okay with that.

Would martini have kids in the future?

Finally, would martini have or want kids down the road? Below is how they answered this critical question.

Nah. I'd be more inclined to adopt or become a foster parent someday way out into the future (if the unlikely desire to be a parent arises), but for now, I think I'm pretty set on the idea that having my own kids is something I don't want now or ever.
